Midweek Bible Study

Tuesdays at 7.30 pm

We believe that the sixty-six books of the Bible are inspired by God and carry His full authority, revealing who God is and instructing His followers how to live as citizens of His kingdom. Studying the Bible and learning how to interpret it, is crucial to the life of Smawthorne Community Church. This is why we gather most Tuesdays.

What to expect

Every midweek Bible study starts with tea and coffee. Everyone then gathers in the main hall to listen to a talk, given either in person or via video. This is followed by a time of group discussion, where each person is given the opportunity to answer questions and discuss what they have heard. Much of the material covered is very practical and often explores how scripture can be applied to our lives.

When does it happen?

Our midweek Bible Study usually happens on a Tuesday at 7.30pm during term time. Our next series will be called Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table. It will run for 6 weeks starting on Tuesday 17th September.

Who is it for?

Our midweek Bible study is mainly aimed at those who regularly attend our Sunday morning services. It serves to equip Christians, helping them to uderstand the Bible better, as well as offering a time of fellowship. Anyone who is interested in the Bible however, is more than welcome to attend, even if you're unable to join us on a Sunday.
